THE ABC KIDS EXPO

MY ROLE:

Lead Brand Designer / Art Direction

THE CHALLENGE:

Create a unique, 3,000-square-foot booth display that unified four distinct Dorel Juvenile brands.

THE STRATEGY:

I thought that it would make the most sense to create a retail-inspired environment to set the 4 brands under one umbrella. I had to develop the retail booth concept, the floor plan (the traffic flow and enough space for all the items), the environmental graphics, branded collateral, giveaway product & packaging, and a 100-page show book from concept through production.

MY CONTRIBUTION:

Led the visual development of a large scale project from concept to completion.

THE SCOPE:

Experiential • Environmental • Brand Systems • Print • Packaging

THE DELIVERABLES:

Trade Show Environment • Show Book • Giveaway Packaging • Large Format Print Files

AI-ASSISTED CONCEPTS
Using a mix of AI concepts and Photoshop, I crafted a concept that brings Dorel Juvenile’s 4 major brands into one retail inspired display booth. The idea was to give each brand its own store front. It brings them together; while maintaining their differentiation.

MAPPING OUT THE PRODUCT & FLOW
Once the initial design inspiration was established the next challenge was to map out how can I could get all of the products fit within the space and still have a good traffic flow. I visualized the space from a bird’s eye view to lay out the schematic.

IT ALL CAME TO LIFE!
I recreated the ai artwork in Adobe Illustrator to prep it all for large scale printing. Within the design, I used lighting to illuminate brand stories for each of the store facades. Artful design touches, like water fountains and real foliage, made the booth welcoming and inviting with multiple entrances and an open flow. Watch the video below to see the entire space.

Here’s a video walk-through of the booth design.

EVERYONE LOVES FREE STUFF
For Giveaways, I created branded artwork that ties back to the storefront theme of the show, on the package cover. Each brand had its own, scented tea candle. I believe that the best brand experiences are ones that stimulate as many senses as possible, like Disney theme parks. If you can tap into the sights, sounds, smells, textures, and taste of a brand…that would be a complete experience. Throughout the process, I worked closely with vendors to create the large print files, the candle giveaway boxes and the 100-page Show Book.

  • Many Social Media Influencers produced content inside the booth.

  • Dorel Juvenile’s CEO and President both declared the 2026 show the “Best Yet”.
